From Motril to the world: over a decade bringing blockchain to the streets
Territorio Blockchain started as a small community in 2013. Today it is a leading Spanish-language media outlet, with an award-winning podcast, a video channel and a network of international events that was born in Motril as CIBTC, toured Spain and Andorra as Block World Tour and reached the Americas with Panamá Blockchain Week.
A media outlet made by people who have been in the industry for years
We are a multidisciplinary team that has been working in IT since before the dot-com crash. In 2013 we began building a community around bitcoin and blockchain, and we haven’t stopped growing since.
Our goal remains the same: to explain blockchain to everyone, give visibility to the projects building this 21st-century technological revolution and support the content creators driving its adoption.
The website was born in response to a need: more and more projects were asking us for an open space to talk about their work. Today we publish news, interviews, analysis and press releases, and we provide live coverage of the industry’s major events.
Territorio Blockchain is a publication of Kronwel Investment, a company headquartered in Panama City that organises Block World Tour and brings brands and investors to international tech events, from Latin America to Europe.
The conference era in Spain was carried out together with the Asociación M.I.T. España, a non-profit organisation that organised the CIBTC events and with which Territorio Blockchain joined forces in managing international events.
Fernando Molina

In the late 1990s he became a tech entrepreneur, and in 2013 he made the leap to blockchain. He is the voice of our interviews and was named best blockchain journalist at the Crypto Week Awards 2023.

Co-founder of Panamá Blockchain WeekA driving force in the crypto and Web3 ecosystem across Ibero-America, president of AND Blockchain and a 2025 finalist for «Most Influential Woman in Blockchain» at the Alastria Blockchain Awards. Together with Fernando Molina, she leads the expansion of our events in the Americas.

The community is born
In early 2013 we began bringing together a small community interested in bitcoin and blockchain. It was the seed of everything that came after.
The Territorio Bitcoin podcast launches
Fernando Molina creates and hosts Territorio Bitcoin, exclusive to iVoox, which would go on to become one of the longest-running and most listened-to Spanish-language podcasts on blockchain and cryptocurrencies. iVoox awarded it the Originals label.
1st CIBTC · Congreso Internacional Blockchain Tropical Coast
What was then considered the first international blockchain conference in Spain. An auditorium for 450 people, an exhibition area with international blockchain, fintech, wallet and mining companies, and a workshop area. Free admission and live streaming.
2nd CIBTC · Andorra
Our first major event outside Spain. Real use cases in finance, education, tourism and real estate, with NEM, Bitcoin Gold, BuzzShow and ICOBox, and the presence of representatives of the Govern d’Andorra.
3rd CIBTC · A Coruña
Opened by the mayor, Xulio Ferreiro, with representatives of the Xunta de Galicia. Ethereum workshops with Telefónica specialists, security with Tecnalia, a Women in Tech panel and the Galician associations Agalbit and Blockchain.gal.
4th CIBTC · Motril
Binance took part as a special guest, for the first time at a conference in Spain. Also present were IBM, T-Systems, Aave/ETHLend, the NEM Foundation, Tecnalia and Renault.
5th CIBTC · Granada
Health and technology as the central theme, with the Andalusian Public Health System, Grupo Init, Fidesol and Tecnalia; Women in Tech with Alastria and the case of Cresio, the first ICO authorised by the CNMV. Around 25 speakers and 14 media partners.
6th CIBTC · Alicante
Opened by the University of Alicante’s Vice-Rector for Campus and Technology. The Royal Spanish Football Federation presented its app here, alongside Binance, Bit2Me, IEBS, Beam, IOTA and æternity.
7th CIBTC · Motril (cancelled)
Everything was ready: 20 speakers, 15 projects, 20 sponsors, 25 media partners and 6 workshops, with admission sponsored by the Asociación M.I.T. Covid forced its cancellation just days before. It marked the end of the CIBTC era.
Meanwhile, we strengthened the media outlet: the website and podcast received a major boost, and in March 2021 Territorio Bitcoin surpassed 10,000 subscribers and half a million downloads on iVoox.
Block World Tour · Motril
The project was reborn under a new name. Tickets sold out days in advance and more than 200 participants came from Spain, Italy, Mexico and the United States. By then, more than 3,500 advisers and investors had attended our editions.
In November, Territorio Bitcoin was first runner-up at the iVoox Awards (Business and Technology): the first blockchain-themed podcast to win such an award.

58 speakers right in the port of Cartagena, with Outer Ring, DEXTools, Bitget, EthicHub, Velas and Belobaba.
Partnerships and television
MetaXSeed signs a strategic partnership with Territorio Blockchain to grow in Latin America and Spain. In December, Block World Tour is featured on Negocios TV’s Token City programme, and Territorio Bitcoin is nominated again at the iVoox Awards.

70 speakers and two days of panels on AI, fusion energy, quantum blockchain, tokenisation, regulation and Web3 in sport and video games.
Blockchain Summit Melilla
Organised with the Asociación M.I.T. on behalf of PROMESA (Proyecto Melilla S.A.). Blockchain thus planted its seed in North Africa for the first time, with training for entrepreneurs and young people.
Block World Tour at Mobile World Congress
We brought the blockchain conversation to the world’s largest mobile industry gathering.

Opened by Minister Conxita Marsol and the Comú d’Andorra, with 42 speakers. We launched the Investor’s Night at the Unnic Gran Casino: five projects pitched to investment funds, and Reental took the prize.
Recognition
Fernando Molina is named best blockchain journalist of the year at the Crypto Week Awards in Madrid, and Territorio Bitcoin is once again first runner-up at the iVoox Awards 2023, among more than 1,600 candidates.

Three themed sessions, BNB Chain Day, Solana Day and Trading Day, and networking at the Carmen de los Mártires, next to the Alhambra.
Block World Tour · Andorra
The fifteenth edition, with 33 speakers from BNY Mellon, Solana, BNB Chain and ESADE. The artificial intelligence session with Bit Lab filled the room with students, and we launched our own networking app.
Panamá Blockchain Week
The first edition in the Americas brought together more than 2,500 attendees. On stage, Panama City Hall and Towerbank presented the agreement allowing municipal taxes and services to be paid with cryptocurrencies, and Towerbank launched ikigii.
Participants included the Ministries of Economy and Commerce, the National Assembly, the National Secretariat of Science and Technology, blockchain chambers from four countries and speakers from Bitfinex, Polkadot and Tools for Humanity.

The event that changed our scale
Panama City became the first capital to accept cryptocurrencies for the direct payment of municipal taxes and fees, an agreement presented on our stage.
