OKChain continues to make significant progress in public chain technology, product design and ecosystem building.

In July, OKChain was upgraded to v0.10.10, while bug fixes and code optimization were carried out on OKChain v0.11.

Meanwhile, OpenDEX Desktop v0.0.2 reached 50% completion, and the OKChain smart contract was upgraded to CosmWasm-go API version 0.8.

We are also pleased to announce that the first submission phase of the OKChain Hackathon campaign has come to an end, and reviews will begin in mid-August.

Technology Progress

Development Version Upgrade

OKChain upgraded to v0.10.10

OKChain-go-SDK upgraded to v0.10.0

OKChain-java-SDK upgraded to v0.10.1

Four bug fixes and code optimization for OKChain v0.11

We have completed the “sending disabled” and “blacklist checks” examination functions in the token module before executing “Send” and “multi-send”, and submitted them to the master and release/v0.10.10 branches at the same time.

We found and fixed a bug in an OKChain trading response and also resolved the issue with the weight calculation when the staking proxy executes delegate. Finally, we resolved the missing proposer verification when proposing the delisting of token pairs.

OpenDEX Desktop v0.0.2 50% complete

The new version of OpenDEX desktop v0.0.2 will support local node mode, including websocket and REST API for data updates.

Currently, development of opendex-desktop is 50% complete and 70% of opendex-ui has been developed.

Smart Contract, Wasm

Development of the CosmWasm-go API v0.8 native library has been completed, and the JSON library is 70% ready.

With this, OKChain became the first validator on the CosmWasm testnet to support it.

OKChain contributed the following code to CosmWasm this month:

We changed the CosmWasm-simulate tool to support contract simulation for CosmWasm v0.10. We also completed the cross-contract calling examples for CosmWasm development and submitted them to the community.

The CosmWasm simulation tool now supports multiple contracts, as well as running scripts in JSON format for automated testing.

Stargate

Currently, the OKChain code has been made compatible with Stargate cosmos-sdk v0.39.0, which is ready to serve IBC cross-chain operations. OKChain will launch a new testnet for IBC functionality testing based on the existing testnet.

Ecosystem Updates

The submission phase of the first OKChain hackathon campaign has come to an end.

So far, a total of 22 teams and individual developers have taken part in the competition. Entries target several areas, including DEXs, digital asset wallets, APIs, virtual machines, blockchain explorers, staking, developer tools, SDKs, cross-chain communication and other innovative fields.

In addition to the OKChain community, 10 well-known project founders, scientists, technology experts and analysts have joined to review the submitted projects, and the results will be announced at the end of August.

They include DappOS and CoinBirds founder Richard Liu, IPFS Force Zone co-founder and chief scientist Xin Li, FIBOS founder Ma Xiang, CoinDesk China COO Leiyang Xin, Dapp.com founder and CEO Kyle Lu, Ankr co-founder and CEO Ryan Fang, TokenInsight partner Wei Zhao, TokenInsight chief analyst Johnson Xu, AWS senior blockchain industry technical expert Wang Shiyu and Yuan Ye of AWS. (This list is in no particular order.)
