The stablecoin account went live in Samsung Wallet on November 2, 2026, giving eligible Galaxy users in the United States direct access to USDC on Solana. Users can buy, hold, send and receive USDC in the wallet app they already use, without needing a separate cryptocurrency app or private keys to manage.
This feature was first announced on October 7 . The stablecoin account sits alongside the cards, boarding passes and IDs that users already store in Samsung Wallet.
How a stablecoin account works
At launch, the stablecoin account reaches approximately 82 million compatible Galaxy devices in the US. Transfers settle on Solana.

Samsung developed this feature together with Bastion, a licensed stablecoin custodian and infrastructure provider, and Coinbase, which safeguards USDC as Bastion’s sub-custodian through Coinbase Prime Vault.
Sending USDC and money
The stablecoin account supports transfers to other Samsung Wallet users, compatible external crypto wallets and eligible bank accounts.

- Users can send USDC to other Samsung Wallet users in the US and to compatible external crypto wallets with no Samsung transfer fees. Third-party fees may apply.
- Eligible users can send money to eligible bank accounts in more than 60 countries, where recipients can receive local currency. Fees and availability vary by destination.
Both options are available from the Stablecoin Account card in the “Quick Access” tab of Samsung Wallet: tap Send, choose a method and follow the instructions.
Availability
The stablecoin account is available to US residents aged 18 and over with a Samsung account on compatible Galaxy devices running Android 13 or later. It is not available to New York residents.
What Samsung and Solana Foundation leaders said
Leaders from the Solana Foundation and Samsung Electronics commented on the launch.
“Starting today, eligible Galaxy users in the US can access USDC on Solana directly from Samsung Wallet. This brings stablecoins into consumers’ everyday lives and is the kind of global adoption Solana is built for.”
— Lu Yin, Head of Asia-Pacific at the Solana Foundation
For a decade, stablecoins have proven that the technology works. What they lacked was a way to reach the general public. Samsung’s decision to partner with Solana brings digital money into everyday life through one of the world’s most trusted technology brands. This level of adoption is what we built Solana for, and we are witnessing the moment when stablecoins stop being a crypto product and become the way people move their money.
— Lily Liu, President of the Solana Foundation
“Samsung Wallet is focused on making useful experiences simple and intuitive. Stablecoins have the potential to make global money transfers faster and easier, and we want Galaxy users to be able to take advantage of that without dealing with the complexity of traditional crypto tools. Solana helps us bring that experience to Samsung’s scale.”
— Woncheol Chai, Executive Vice President and Head of the Digital Wallet Team, Mobile eXperience (MX) Business, Samsung Electronics
