This is MEXC’s first official response to the November 6 order that cuts off its access to the US financial system.

The exchange says it is “reviewing it closely with its legal and compliance teams,” that it “is operating normally and user assets remain safe,” and that it wants to “work constructively with FinCEN and other regulators.” It adds that it has launched “an independent review of its anti-money laundering and sanctions controls,” without saying who is conducting it or on what timeline. It does not dispute the content of the order.

MEXC’s official statement:

“MEXC is aware of the order issued by the US Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) on November 6, 2026, and is reviewing it carefully in coordination with our legal and compliance teams.

MEXC is operating normally and user assets remain safe.

We take the concerns raised very seriously and intend to engage constructively with FinCEN, as well as with other regulators and competent authorities worldwide.

In addition, we have initiated an independent review of our anti-money laundering and sanctions controls. We will continue to monitor the situation closely and will provide further information through our official channels.”
