Ripple and Robinhood have signed a strategic alliance that makes RLUSD a key stablecoin for Robinhood’s retail and institutional businesses. RLUSD already runs on Robinhood Chain and Bitstamp, and is expected to arrive in the Robinhood app before the end of the year.
Robinhood will use RLUSD on the XRP Ledger for institutional settlement through Bitstamp and will integrate Ripple Treasury for its own global treasury.
Ripple Prime already provides Bitstamp with lending and margin financing on some 20 digital assets and will add perpetual futures later this year. Monica Long, president of Ripple, and Johann Kerbrat, of Robinhood Crypto, weigh in.

Ripple’s stablecoin, RLUSD, will play a key role in Robinhood’s retail and institutional businesses as the companies deepen their ties across treasury and institutional markets.
SAN FRANCISCO, October 27, 2026 – Ripple, the leading provider of blockchain solutions for traditional and digital finance, and Robinhood, a global leader in financial services, today announced a strategic alliance that gives one of the industry’s largest consumer and institutional trading platforms a single, secure access point to Ripple’s infrastructure for stablecoins, institutional markets and treasury management.
Ripple USD (RLUSD) will be a key stablecoin in Robinhood’s digital asset ecosystem, expanding access to this enterprise-grade stablecoin for both retail and institutional users. RLUSD is already available on Robinhood Chain and Bitstamp by Robinhood, and is expected to become available in the Robinhood app later this year. Robinhood will use RLUSD on XRPL for institutional settlement, thereby extending the stablecoin’s utility to the growing institutional business of Bitstamp by Robinhood.
The relationship also covers Robinhood’s financial operations: the company will integrate Ripple Treasury to modernize and automate its global treasury operations, including cash and liquidity management, cash flow forecasting, payments, risk management and intercompany netting.
The alliance also extends to institutional markets through Ripple Prime, consolidating the existing relationship between the two companies in financing, liquidity and market access. Ripple Prime offers Bitstamp by Robinhood lending and margin financing for approximately 20 digital assets, and enables its clients to trade spot on Bitstamp. Later on, Ripple Prime will offer support for perpetual futures trading on Bitstamp.
