Video published by Rodrigo Arnedo on his YouTube channel.

Rodrigo Arnedo devotes his daily show to the Binance hack, which he describes as the biggest theft in crypto history: according to him, the exchange’s hot wallets were drained across 10 blockchains in less than an hour, with a haul of $6.3 billion, four times the amount in the Bybit case.

In the video he explains how the intrusion happened, which he attributes to an engineer’s laptop rather than a flaw in Bitcoin or Ethereum. He also reviews how Tether and Circle reportedly froze around $3 billion within a few hours and the method that, according to him, the thief used to obtain Ethereum that cannot be frozen. Arnedo also notes that Binance says it will cover everything with its SAFU fund, that withdrawals and deposits remain halted and that users do not need to do anything. He warns about fake support agents and hoaxes.

The show includes other current topics:

  • Polymarket loses $2.7 million.
  • Singapore police confirm tampered Ledger devices and what to do with Keystone.
  • Monero rises 8% and Bitcoin holds at $78,000 with $1.3 billion liquidated.
  • PCE inflation of 3.6%, earnings from Strategy, Coinbase, Amazon and Intel, and Lagarde’s departure from the ECB.
  • A chart analysis that asks whether Bitcoin is behaving like it did in 2018.
