On February 14, the day of love and friendship, Blockchain Association Foundation, in collaboration with Arbitrum and Blockchain Javeriana, held an Arbitrum Workshop with a single goal: cupcakes.
Lau and Sebastian, the instructors of this Workshop, explained to the people who came to the Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá about Blockchain Acceleration Foundation, a Blockchain foundation with educational purposes from the United States; they also talked about its alliance/sponsorship with Arbitrum, one of Ethereum’s Layer 2s, as well as the support of Javeriana Blockchain.
The workshop focused on teaching how to use a Smart Contract with Arbitrum in order to claim some Cupcakes (using the Arbitrum Testnet and Metamask).

This was the exercise the workshop participants had to complete, fully explained from the start by instructor Sebastian, who personally took care of solving any problems participants had, whether with their environment or while writing code. Lau also did a great job explaining the purpose of the Workshop, BAF’s goals and the projects young people can build with Blockchain.

What is Blockchain Acceleration Foundation, or BAF for short? “It is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization made up of students, professors, blockchain advocates and interested citizens who are committed to the mass adoption of cryptocurrencies and user ownership of the internet.
BAF sees blockchain education as a gateway to adoption and aims to educate its members by creating university curricula, organizing conferences and offering free online courses and recorded information sessions.” -BAF Official Website in English
We spoke with Lau, who explained the many opportunities a student could have with Blockchain. BAF promotes projects that use Blockchain or bring Crypto/Blockchain education to countries, cities or towns in different parts of the world.
