Buenos Aires, December 11, 2025. “Fintech Sessions” held its first edition in Buenos Aires, bringing together the leading figures of the country’s financial and technology ecosystem in a day that combined innovation, trends and business opportunities. The event, held at the Four Seasons Hotel, gathered companies, fintechs, ALyCs, technology providers, investors and industry professionals, establishing itself as a notable new gathering for the industry.

Organized by Gallo Financial Technology & Partners, this first edition set out to create a space to exchange experiences, analyze success stories, discuss current challenges and promote synergies among the various players driving the transformation of the local financial system.

An agenda focused on the future of the fintech ecosystem

The day featured an agenda of talks and presentations by industry leaders. Throughout the day, attendees learned about trends in financial infrastructure, Banking as a Service and Wallet as a Service, crypto and asset tokenization, capital markets and new tools aimed at improving the user and investor experience.

The event was opened by Nacho Abuchdid, of Grupo IEB: “This event is the first of many more we hope to hold in the coming years.” He added: “Technology paves the way, greases the wheels and greatly facilitates the entry of more people into the capital markets.”

Next up was Guido Pellegrini, of Gallo, who spoke about the “Gallo Financial Technology Ecosystem”: “The market has changed pace; we must ask ourselves whether technology is driving us forward or holding us back.” He stated: “At Gallo we want to make technology and finance accessible to everyone. From a single platform we offer all operations: local, international and crypto. Financial markets are evolving at a very fast pace and companies must keep up with that.”

In her talk, Candelaria Villagra, of BIND, spoke about the current challenge and the opportunity we have right now in Argentina. “The current problem is that the modern investor demands immediacy; moving money between a traditional bank and an Alyc is often slow, bureaucratic and creates friction that drives away digital customers. Every manual transfer consumes time.”

She added: “Thanks to the integration of Bind PSP and Gallo, the goal is to transform the Alyc into a complete investment wallet.” She spoke of “Embedded Finance: integrating banking and payments infrastructure directly into the current management system, without friction.” “Today we are experiencing accelerated competition. Fintechs are aggressively entering the investment space. Alycs must defend their position by offering the same transactional usability,” she concluded.

Next, Claudio Zuchovicki spoke about the new relationship between the market and technology. During his presentation, he emphasized that “a company that needs to make money doesn’t talk politics” and stressed that “the only thing we should care about is how to make our clients more money; that is our only problem”.

Regarding the impact of technology on the industry, Zuchovicki underlined that “we have to take advantage of what technology offers us. Technology helps, gives us leverage, provides more transparency and allows us to see data in real time. But we must not lose focus”.
That focus, he said, is the real economy: “Our focus is the real economy, financing the real economy and giving confidence to the clients who invest their money; this is the most important thing”.

Finally, he reflected on changes in social and consumer habits: “In today’s society people spend more money. Years ago people didn’t spend as much; money was looked after. Today’s society is a new consumer society. Now people seek to live life and treat themselves”.

To close, Marcos Schefer, Global Head of Markets at Ripio, spoke about “The new capital market: crypto, bonds and tokenized stocks.” During his talk, he explained that “the new tokenization 2.0 enables asset tokenization; it is a different representation of an asset that already exists”.
At Ripio, he noted, they consider this regulation “a major step forward, and we hope it can scale even further, extending tokenization to other items. Ideally, we would be able to tokenize the entire market, or as much of it as possible”.

Finally, he highlighted the opportunity opening up for the industry: “Today we fintechs have a huge opportunity. The traditional financial market and new technology companies must complement each other; there really is an opportunity there, between the experience the traditional market provides and new technologies”.

The first edition of Fintech Sessions closed with a summary of the day’s main takeaways and a reflection on the role of the fintech ecosystem as a driver of innovation for the Argentine financial system. This inaugural edition made it clear that the combination of traditional finance, technology, infrastructure and innovation will be key to driving the industry’s development in the coming years.

“The outcome of this first edition is extremely positive. We managed to bring together leading companies, entrepreneurs and industry figures in one space, fostering conversations that are key to the future of the financial ecosystem,” said Santiago Gluzsznaider Baker, Marketing and Communications Manager at Grupo IEB.

He also stressed that “this is just the beginning: our idea is to establish Fintech Sessions as an annual event that grows edition after edition and continues to drive the innovation the industry needs.”
